Dublin, Ohio October 10, 2007 - Tartan Management Company today announced the anticipated groundbreaking of The Golf Academy at Central Park as a world class teaching and learning center. Situated on approximately 100 acres at the intersection of Claycraft and Taylor Roads in Gahanna, Ohio, The Golf Academy at Central Park will feature a 75,000 sq ft grass hitting area, 20 covered/heated hitting bays, short game improvement area, 9 hole putting course, short course, and Par 3 golf course designed by the world class design team of Hurdzan & Fry. The entire property will be crowned by a 2,500 sq ft clubhouse that will serve a fun pub style menu for golfers and non-golfers alike. The outstanding view of the Columbus skyline will be one of the most unique features of the facility.
In making the announcement, Steve Renaker, President of the Tartan Golf and Management Company said, "We believe The Golf Academy at Central Park will have everything to improve the game of all golfers in Columbus. When completed, it should be fun for the entire family". Ty Day; Director of Operations has been appointed to oversee the operations of the club while Ted Hunker; Director of Agronomy will head up the construction phase of the project. The Golf Academy at Central Park has an expected opening Summer 2009.
