 TGM welcomes Tony Mynhier, Director of Sales. Tony has a tremendous desire to grow the game of golf while providing all the members of Stonehenge with the highest degree of service and care, and looks forward to meeting many new faces and building strong relationships. He has 20 years of sales and operations management including 6 years in golf where he served as Head Golf Professional at Spring Meadow Farm Golf Club in Middlebury. Tony is a proud Class A Member of the PGA of America, and for the last 3 years has been a certified club fitting specialist for Titleist Golf Co.  TGM welcomes Kurt Germann as the new Golf Course Superintendent for Stonehenge Golf and Country Club. Kurt comes to Stonehenge from Fort Wayne Country Club, where he was the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. Kurt was at FWCC since 2004, and previously worked at Pine Valley Country Club in Fort Wayne. Kurt is a graduate of Purdue University, with a degree in Agronomy. We at TGM are excited that Kurt will be bringing his talents to Stonehenge Country Club, as he has extensive experience working at some of the finest private clubs in the area.
Welcome aboard Kurt! Hillview has a New Chef...  John Keevers started as Executive Chef at Hillview Country Club in August of 2010. John comes to Hillview with experience as the Executive Chef Hilton Indianapolis North 2004 to 2009 and Executive Chef Holiday North at the Pyramids 1998-2004. John has a wife Wedi, and daughters: Hannah 10, Maddison 8, Lillyan 1, and sons: Johnny 9, Connor 2.Don Carlos Inducted into the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame and Museum Don Carlos, a member at East Golf Club, was inducted into the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame and Museum on Saturday, May 22, 2010. Rick Martin hits a Hole In One at East Golf Club Rick Martin has been playing golf for 46 years and has just shot his first Hole In One. The Hole In One was made on hole # 3 from 167 yards with a 7 iron. Congratulations Rick!!! Brown's Run Country Club Hires New Head Golf Professional, William "Rob" Robinson  Rob Robinson is a PGA professional with more than 15 years experience. He joins Brown's Run Country Club having most recently been the Head Golf Professional for Duck Woods Country Club on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Rob was also the First Assistant at Muirfield Village Golf Club, home of the Memorial Tournament in Dublin, OH. He has been the First Assistant at Paradise Valley Country Club in Phoenix, AZ and the Associate Professional at Olympia Fields Country Club, Host of the 2003 U.S. Open Championship, in Chicago, IL.Rob attended South Dearborn High School, College of the Desert and Mississippi State University. Rob has a degree in Golf Management and was a member of the golf team. Rob is also a graduate of the PGA's G.P.T.P program and bacame a Class "A" PGA member in 2002. Rob enjoys teaching the game of golf and has had the opportunity throughout his career to work with and learn from top instructors, sports psychologists and players. Since becoming a professional he has brought a love for the game and a sincere approach to helping others achieve their golfing potential. Rob enjoys competition and has sustained a level of tournament success throughout his career. Jennifer Tapp Named Director of Sales for Hillview Country Club in Franklin, Indiana  As Director of Sales for Hillview Country Club, Jennifer is responsible for promoting Hillview and all the amenities the property has to offer - Golf Memberships, Golf Outings, Banquets and Wedding Receptions. Jennifer will provide detail planning for all members, clients and guests.Jennifer brings three years experience in the golf industry. She has worked for The See Pines Company as Assistant Retail Buyer at Ocean and Sea Marsh golf courses in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and as Boutique Supervisor and Assistant Retail Buyer for The Inn at Palmetto Bluff. Jennifer is a graduate of Ball State University and resides in Indianapolis with her husband Jason and dog Auggie. On her down time, you will find Jennifer outdoors playing golf, on the beach or at the lake. Christine Ramsay Named Director of Sales & Catering at New Albany's East Golf Club
TGM's Ty Day Featured as Speaker at 20th Annual Golf Inc Conference  World Golf Village, Florida March 2009- Tagged as the venue "Where the industry's leaders tackle golf's most critical issues" the recent conference was held at Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village in Florida. The world's top golf course owners, developers, managers and other leaders convened for three days of high-quality education, unparalleled networking and creative brainstorming. TGM's Vice President of Operations, Ty Day was a featured speaker at a Strategic Ownership Track designed to provide golf course owners and developers with strategic planning and vision. Along with Bobby Weed, former Pete Dye apprentice and architect of numerous TPC courses, and John Crowder, Director of Business Development for Valley Crest Golf Course Maintenance, Ty's session focused on repositioning golf courses to find the right market niche and maximize profits. As a 20-year industry veteran, Ty currently overseas operations and business development for all TGM properties. Facilities under his direction have consistently placed as top performers in their respective markets. A PGA member, Ty focuses on budgets and financials with a focus on new club development. His experience at TGM converting private clubs to public gave him valuable insight to share with other industry professionals. Lynn Brading Joins the Indian Ridge Golf Club Team as Director of Sales  Oxford, Ohio March 2009- TGM and Indian Ridge Golf Club are pleased to announce the appointment of Lynn Brading to the newly created position of Director of Sales. Lynn brings recent sales experience from the mortgage and lending industries as a former account executive and loan officer and prior retail sales and management. It might be hard to find someone who knows the southwest Ohio market and region better than Lynn. Having worked from Wilmington to Lexington, including stops in West Chester and Fairfield, and attending Badin High School on the west side of Hamilton, Lynn's extensive knowledge of the area will be a tremendous asset to Indian Ridge where she will be handling group sales, memberships, golf outings, banquets and weddings. Lynn attended The Ohio State University and Miami University. An avid golfer and a self-described "huge Buckeye football fan," Lynn resides in Liberty Township with her husband Todd and two children. Brown's Run's Muzquiz Named Miami Valley Senior Player of the YearMiddletown, Ohio January 20, 2009- The awards and accolades continue to pour in for Brown's Run Country Club. The Miami Valley Golf Association recently awarded BRCC member Juan Muzquizit's 2008 Senior Player of the Year. Each year the MVGA awards both a Senior Player of the Year and Player of the Year honors based on players performances over the preceding golf season. Mr. Muzquiz won Brown's Run Country Club's Stroke Play and Senior Stroke Play Championships and was Runner Up in the Match Play. Juan also placed well in the Metropolitan and Senior Metropolitan and received points for his efforts in the US Senior Amateur and Ohio Senior Amateur. Hearty Congratulations to Mr. Muzquiz for a well-played season. Browns Run will play host to the MVGA Senior Metropolitan Championship, September 10 & 11, 2009. Brown's Run's Barry Strittholt Named as Finalist for 'TurfNet Superintendent of the Year' Middletown, Ohio January 2, 2009- Breaking News!!! Brown's Run Superintendent Barry Strittholt was notified by John Reitman of TurfNet that he has been selected as a Top Ten Finalist for this prestigious award. The winner will be announced Friday February 6 at the Syngenta booth during the Golf Industry Show in New Orleans, following a luncheon for the finalists. TGM Director of Agronomy Ted Hunker will be in attendance to support Barry in this outstanding achievement. Read below for the full article regarding Barry's nomination.  Brown's Run's Barry Strittholt Nominated for 'Superintendent of the Year'Middletown, Ohio December 9, 2008- Barry Strittholt, Brown's Run Country Club's long-time Superintendent, is having one heck of a year. This December marks 30 years of service at the club for Barry, and the membership, led by former board member Dr. Ken Wehr, is driving Barry's nomination for Superintendent of the Year with The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GSCAA). This prestigious award is presented annually to a golf course superintendent whose contributions are noteworthy and serve as an example to his peers, association and profession. The members feel strongly that Barry should be recognized for his long time service and dedication to the club. Barry achieved his GSCAA certification in 1985 and has had 10 assistants move on to take superintendent positions. He began his career at age 14 at Hartwell Golf Course. Barry has maintained the fire at Brown's Run CC by continually striving to improve the golf course and actively seeking knowledge in his quest to meet member expectations. His willingness to adapt and embrace change has kept him at the forefront of the golf course maintenance industry.
Ted Hunker, TGM's Director of Agronomy and a 22-year member of the GSCAA, supports the nomination. "I have enjoyed working with Barry and have learned a lot from him about golf course maintenance and life in general. He is a tremendous gentleman and a great superintendent who would represent GCSAA superbly as golf course Superintendent of the Year." The award will be presented at the GSCAA National Conference in New Orleans Feb 3-7, 2009.
